Google Apps
When you're in need of a cloud-based, productivity tool for collaboration, consider using Google Workspace for Education. IT Services provides Google Workspace for faculty, students, and staff free of charge. It includes tools for collaboration, creation, and storage of documents, email, and website development.
Additionally, you can use G Drive to compile and share materials online, Google Calendar for group calendaring, Google Talk for instant messaging, and Google Docs for document collaboration. All of these services are integrated into a single, cohesive platform so you can interact seamlessly and securely across devices.
Here are more features:
- Google Docs allows multiple users the ability to create, share, and collaborate on documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and more.
- Google Drive provides secure cloud storage and file backup.
- Gmail provides email storage, spam filtering, instant messaging, voice chat, and video chat.
- Google Calendar offers online scheduling of meetings and events.
- Google Sites provides easy to develop and customizable websites.
As a self-service tool, you can manage your own projects, making work more efficient. Campus groups and associations have the option to use Google Groups as a better way to communicate instead of using bulk email messages. You can also create online communities where conversations can flourish instead of dealing with unread or buried emails. No matter what your communication needs are, G Suite has many collaborative solutions to consider for sharing information.
