Overview
The SpeechView feature of the Cisco Unity Connection voicemail allows you to receive voice messages in your mailbox in a speech-to-text format.
Only the first 500 characters of a message transcription are provided, therefore longer messages are truncated. However, users have access to the original audio recording in its entirety, from anywhere at any time.
FAQ
Why isn't the transcription accurate?
The transcription may contain inaccuracies because it is a fully automated service without human intervention.
Why do I receive multiple messages in my email inbox for each voicemail message received?
Every time you receive a new voicemail message, you'll receive an email with a .wav file attachment and a text transcription of the voicemail message. If you also requested SpeechView as a text message to your cell phone, you'll receive both email and text messages.
Why can't I reply to SpeechView messages?
Because SpeechView messages are transcribed by a transcription service, you cannot directly reply to the person who left the message.
