Transfer a Call to Voicemail From VoIP Phone

  1. Tell the caller you will transfer them to the party's voicemail box
  2. Press the TRANSFER softkey
  3. Press the * (star key) and the 5-digit mailbox number you wish to forward the call into
  4. As soon as you hear the intended party's voicemail greeting, you may release the call or hang up.

Record My Name

Your recorded name is what callers will hear when you have selected the standard greeting including your name. This is also the name of your mailbox, which others on the voicemail system will hear when sending mailbox-to-mailbox messages.

From the main menu, press 4 for setup options, 3 for personal settings, and then 2 to change the recorded name. You will be prompted to record your name. When you are finished, press # (pound key) to save and the * (star key) to keep.

Initialize My Mailbox

Your mailbox number is the same as your telephone number and the temporary password (pin) is 26986. The first time you use voicemail, you'll use the temporary password to access your mailbox. When you log in to your mailbox for the first time, the voicemail tutorial will automatically guide you through the steps of setting up your mailbox, changing your password, personalizing it with your greeting, and recording your name.

The entire tutorial must be completed to properly initialize the mailbox, otherwise the mailbox will default to the temporary password and any recordings will be erased. To begin:

  • Follow the instructions you've been provided to access your mailbox
  • Enter the temporary password, 26986, to log in to your mailbox
  • Follow the voicemail tutorial to set up your mailbox
  • Exit your mailbox by pressing * (star key) until you exit from the system

Change the Password

To change your password (pin), start from the main menu. Press 4 for setup options, 3 for personal settings, and then press 1 to change your password. Press * (star key) to return to the previous menu.
