Eduroam (education roaming) is a secure worldwide wireless roaming access service developed for the international research and education community. It allows you to log in to any Eduroam hotspot worldwide and join instantly and securely with your UChicago CNetID or email address and CNetID password.
To access Eduroam, you need a CNetID and password. To connect to Eduroam on campus, visit go.uchicago.edu/eduroam.
Before you travel, please connect to the Eduroam wireless network while on campus to test the Eduroam configuration. If you pretest your configuration, this will increase the security of the system by verifying the UChicago certificate on a trusted network. This will allow IT Services or your local IT team time to help you in case of difficulties while you are traveling. If needed, IT Services will coordinate with the technical staff of the institution you're visiting to resolve connectivity or other connectivity problems.
Note: Please make sure you are running the latest supported version of your operating system (OS). Be aware, Apple does not officially publish the end of support for their OS. Historically they will support the latest OS and two prior versions. See the list below for the latest OS information for your device.
Please rely on your home institution's technical support for connectivity problems relating to Eduroam. If necessary, your technical staff will coordinate with IT Services to resolve connectivity or other networking issues.
