AURA-Grants/Agreements/IRB/COI/IBC Access

Who can see what data is in the AURA data warehouse?

Access to AURA-Grants/Agreements/IRB/IBC/COI data in the data warehouse follows the same data security implemented for each user in the AURA-Grants/Agreements/IRB/IBC/COI applications, with expanded access to support complete current and pending support information. The authorization of a new Business Objects/AURA-Grants/Agreements/IRB/IBC/COI user includes requesting access to the AURA-Grants/Agreements/IRB/IBC/COI module and specifying rules for that individual's access.

Who can use the AURA data warehouse?

AURA-Grants/Agreements/Institutional Review Board (IRB)/Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC)/Conflict of Interest-Conflict of Commitment (COI-COC) data warehouse use is restricted to those people who have been granted an AURA-Grants/Agreements/IRB/IBC/COI-COC application account that includes the reporting role. Access to AURA data warehouse data requires a login ID and password, typically the user's CNetID and password.

When you request an AURA-Grants/Agreements/IRB/IBC/COI-COC application account, you must request the reporting role if you need reporting access and specify the level of reporting access you need.

Report Viewers: View and refresh pre-built reports, including standard UCDW reports, as well as any reports built and deployed locally by the division.

Interactive Report Users: In addition to report viewer rights, interactive users can customize local copies of prebuilt reports to change formatting, add or remove available query objects from display, add charts or graphs, and insert new report tabs.

Analyst Report Users: In addition to viewer and interactive rights, analysts can create their own queries and reports.

Alert! To request access for AURA Data Warehouse Reporting, you will need to complete the AURA Request Access form.

AURA-Grants/Agreements/IRB/IBC/COI-COC reporting access is provided through the BI Launch Pad online query tool. Use of BI Launch Pad normally requires successful completion of the AURA-Grants Reporting Fundamentals class or equivalent training.
