Audio-Visual Services (AVS) is part of UChicago's Academic Technology Solutions department. AVS provides digital media technology, expertise, consultation, and training to faculty, students, and staff.

Services and equipment include, but are not limited to:

• Single or multi-camera video production
• Media editing and post-production services
• Podcasts
• Content streaming
• Event projection and amplification
• Audio duplication, including cassette, CD, vinyl, and other formats if the client can provide the audio deck
• Audio noise correction to remove hums, crackles, pops, and other unwanted sounds
• 35 mm slide/negative transfer
• Video digitizing of VHS, Hi8, MiniDV, and other formats if clients can provide an audio deck
• 16mm film capture and color correction
• AV equipment rental
• Classroom technology training and support
• AV consultations for conference rooms or other teaching and learning spaces
