Guest Wireless Network Overview

Overview

The Guest Wireless Network allows campus guests and visitors access to the University's wireless network for web, email, and communications needs.

To use it, guests simply select the uchicago-guest network from a wireless device (laptop, tablet, or phone) and enter the Guest Wireless Network username and password provided to them by their sponsor. The username is often the email address they provided to the sponsor.

Any faculty and full-time staff may use the Guest Network Home Page for Guests and Sponsors portal to create temporary accounts for their guests. Sponsorship is not available at this time to students, medical center employees, or part-time staff of the University.

Limited support, focused on ensuring network availability and that a guest's credentials are accurate, is available through IT Services.
