Outlook on the web (Microsoft 365 online) and Outlook 2016 have made exporting contact into your desktop or mobile device simple, although both .csv and .vcard files cannot be imported into your device's Mac application. As a workaround, you should use Outlook on the Web by logging into portal.office.com to import your contacts via a .csv file. Your contacts will be synced to your locally installed Mac Outlook 2016 application.

Please read all instructions before proceeding.

1. Visit Outlook on the web and Sign in with your UChicago email address (i.e., cnetid@uchicago.edu).
   
2. You will now be taken to the single sign-on page for UChicago.
   
3. Enter your CNetID and password to log in. Complete two-factor authentication if prompted.
   
   
4. Select Outlook from the lists of applications within the UChicago Microsoft 365 web portal.
   
5. Select the People icon located at the bottom of the left navigation box.
   
6. Select Manage, then select Import Contacts.
   
7. Select Browse to locate your file.
   
8. Select your file, then choose Open.
   
9. Choose Import then wait while your contacts are imported. A successful message will be displayed.
10. Select Cancel to exit the import process.
