Telephone Equipment Definitions
- Single-Line Telephone: A basic phone with a single line. This line can also be used for other purposes, including fax or modem. Cost is independent of whether a UChicago device is used.
- Multi-Line Telephone: A digital phone that includes the capability for two to four lines. This type of phone has dedicated buttons for features such as Hold, Transfer, Call Forward, Voicemail, etc.
- Multi-Line Plus Telephone: A digital phone that includes the capability for five or more lines. This type of phone has dedicated buttons for features such as Hold, Transfer, Call Forward, Voicemail, etc.
Installations, Changes, or Cancellations
New installation, renovation, or reconstruction projects are treated differently. Requests for data network connections are coordinated between project managers and contractors.
