The following instructions show you how to install the Cisco AnyConnect Client on Windows 10 and connect to the University of Chicago virtual private network (cVPN).
- Launch a web browser then go to cvpn.uchicago.edu.
- When prompted, enter your CNetID and password. Verify your identity using two-factor authentication (2FA) if prompted. This will allow you to access the cVPN or access the software from cvpn.uchicago.edu.
- After you log in, select Continue.

- The Mobility Client Download will appear. Select Download for Windows to download the app. A link to the installer app will appear at the bottom of your browser window.

- Select the installer app link to to begin the installation process, or select Show all to locate the file.

- Select Next on the welcome screen.

- Select Install.

- You may see this User Access Control Warning, select Yes to continue with the installation.

- Select Finish to complete the installation.

- From the Start Menu, select the Cisco AnyConnect app.

- Enter cvpn.uchicago.edu in the Ready to Connect window, then select Connect.

- Again, you will be prompted to log in with your CNetID and password, then select OK. You may get prompted for an additional two-factor authentication login.
- At the welcome window, read the Acceptable Use Policy, then select Accept to continue.

- A notification will appear when connected successfully.

The AnyConnect application icon will be visible in the system tray in the lower right-hand corner.

- To disconnect from cVPN, open the AnyConnect application by selecting the AnyConnect icon, then select Disconnect.
