Email Protection Overview

To prevent email threats to @uchicago.edu email accounts, the University provides an email protection service. The service has enhanced capabilities to identify and block spam as well as to better protect accounts from phishing attempts and malicious email content.

With this service, you receive an online spam "quarantine" repository where potentially harmful or unwanted emails are held. The email protection service filters your mail into two folders.

To access your quarantine repository, visit spam.uchicago.edu and log in with your CNetID and password. Complete the two-factor authentication process if prompted. You can also access your quarantine repository from your Quarantine Email Digest by selecting Manage My Account.

To learn how to manage emails in your email quarantine repository, visit View and Manage Your Email Quarantine. For additional information, review the Email Protection FAQ. Contact IT Services for additional technical support.
