UChicago Box Collections


Box Collections enables you to create and name private collections of content in your UChicago Box account. When utilizing Box Collections, you can:

Create a New Collection

  1. In the left navigation panel, select the Plus sign (+) to the right of My Collections.

  2. Enter the name of your new collection in the pop-up window, then select Create.
  3. Drag folders and/or files into the collection.

    Note:  Data is only virtually assigned to a collection, which means, the data is not moved.

Remove Folders or Files from a Collection

  1. Select the collection.

  2. Select the square with three dots on the right for the file/folder you wish to remove.

  3. Unselect the Collection.

    Note: This does not remove the file or folder but removes it from the collection only.

Remove a Collection

  1. Select the Collection you wish to remove.

  2. Select the square with three dots on the right.

  3. Select delete from the drop-down menu.

    Note:
    This only removes the collection, not the data in the collection.
