Overleaf is a collaborative cloud-based LaTeX editor used for writing, editing, and publishing scientific documents. It partners with a wide range of scientific publishers to provide official journal LaTeX templates and direct submission links.

Eligibility

The University of Chicago currently offers access to Overleaf at no charge to all users with a CNetID or UCHADID. University faculty, students, and staff have access to the Overleaf Premium account.

Access to Overleaf

You can log in to Overleaf at overleaf.com/edu/uchicago. To access your account, you must register first. To do so, follow the steps below:

1. Log in to overleaf.com/edu/uchicago.
2. From the ribbon, select Register.
   
3. From the Register dialog-box, select Log in through your institution link.
   
4. Enter your Uchicago email address and password.
   
5. You will then be redirected to complete two-factor authentication.
6. You should now be logged into the University's Overleaf account and can start creating your first project.
