This document presents a step-by-step guide to creating your new Poll Everywhere account with UChicago.
Getting Started Form and Joining
- Fill out the Poll Everywhere Get Started form and wait for a response from Academic Technology Solutions.
- Look for the Poll Everywhere automated email. This may go to your spam inbox, so be sure to check there.
- Select the Accept invitation button. This will take you to a web page to join the University of Chicago’s Poll Everywhere account.
- Enter your full name and UChicago email into the respective fields.
- Enter your CNetID password into the Password field.
- Re-enter your password to confirm and select Join.
Alert! You must use your main UChicago email ending in @uchicago.edu email. For example, johndoe@uchicago.edu. UChicago Booth and Pritzker School's email addresses or other alternative emails will not work.

Configuring Account Settings
- Once you've joined, you will be taken to the Poll Everywhere Activities landing page.

- Next, configure your UserID. Select Profile on the left navigation pane, then select Personal info. Several fields appear on this page.

- Enter a new UserID in the Username field. Choose one that will be simple for you and your students to remember, because this UserID becomes part of the address for your Poll Everywhere response page.
- Once you choose a username, select Change. If your new username is valid, it is accepted, and a confirmation message appears. If your username is already taken, you will get an error message.
Tip: You can use your first and last name for your Username.

- Make sure your uchicago.edu email address is listed in the Email field. Please note: Chicago Booth, Biological Sciences Division, and other custom email addresses will not work with Poll Everywhere.
- Scroll to the bottom and select Save to save your new Username.
