The Content Tree appears as a dropdown menu and lists all sites on the current instance. You can find your site by clicking on the Sitecore > Content > UChicago Tenant dropdown.
All sites hosted in the UChicago Sitecore instance are listed under UChicago Tenant. You should see a list of sites where you have access - clicking the dropdown for your site name will allow you to view the contents of your site.
If you do not see your site listed in the dropdown, please contact IT Services to ensure your account permissions are accurate.
All primary site content is found under the UChicago Tenant > SiteName > Home dropdown.
In addition to the shared Media Library, each site has its own Media folder. You can upload files into this folder, such as images and PDFs.
Please refer to Navigating the Media Library to learn more about how to navigate and manage content files in the Sitecore Media Library.
The Data folder that's on the same level as your site's Home item is where sitewide data resources are stored. This is where you can make changes to footer links, header menus, and data stored in shared components.

Sitecore has the ability to match formatting from various other applications, including Microsoft Word and Outlook. Here are a few best practices to quickly and easily format text.
If you prefer to write content in Microsoft Word, you can paste it into the Paste from Word box. It will preserve any links or paragraph breaks and remove your default Word font.
When possible, avoid directly copying and pasting from applications like Microsoft Word, Outlook, and even websites. You may be copying the formatting and pasting in unwanted styles, which may affect the front-end design and structure of your page. Use this feature with caution.
We recommend users copy and paste their content using Paste Plain Text.
The Format Stripper will allow you to remove any unwanted formatting, either completely or by type. Use this feature if you have accidentally copied and pasted any formatting that should not be published on the live page.
Simply highlight the affected element, and click on the relevant option under the Format Stripper button.
Paste Plain Text is useful for pasting content written in another application without any formatting. This will allow you to paste content without transferring any unwanted styles and reformatting text using the native features of the Rich Text Editor.
Use the header preset dropdowns to quickly structure your content for best accessibility practices.

The Hyperlink Manager can be used to create external website, anchor, and email links.
Adding an anchor in the Rich Text on your page allows you to link directly to a specific line of text.
Highlight the text where you'd like your link to appear and click the Hyperlink Manager button in the Rich Text Editor. From here, you can choose from the following link types:
You can add links to external sites by using the Hyperlink tab in the Hyperlink manager. Here you can fill out your link text, URL, whether to open in a tab or new window, and any additional relevant information.
Add anchors to the text you'd like to link to
Highlight the text you would like to link to and select the Link icon (highlighted at the top in the screenshot below). Navigate to the Anchor tab and enter an ID of your choice in the ID field. This should be something short that you can easily remember. You will use this ID in the next step.
Highlight the text you would like to hyperlink to your anchored text and select the Link icon. In the Hyperlink tab, enter a # symbol followed by the ID you created in the previous step. Save your changes. When you publish your page, double-check that your link is working correctly.
Email addresses can be linked in the E-mail tab. Please note you do not have to include a mailto: in the Address field, as Sitecore can add this automatically.
