Essential software applications installed on all computers configured by BSDIS [BSDIS supports all computers, whether they were set up by them or are part of the domain].

Overleaf is a collaborative cloud-based LaTeX editor used for writing, editing, and publishing scientific documents. It partners with a wide range of scientific publishers to provide official journal LaTeX templates and direct submission links. Overleaf Professional features include real-time track changes, unlimited collaborators, and full document history. |
The University of Chicago is providing Overleaf Professional features for all students, faculty and staff who would like to use a collaborative, online LaTeX editor for their projects. |

Qualtrics is a cloud-based survey platform. |
The University of Chicago currently offers access to Qualtrics to users with a current CNetID or UCHADID for no charge. |

REDCap is a secure, web-based solution that is designed to support data collection strategies for research studies. Its free use is offered by the Center for Research Informatics (CRI). If you need further help at this point, email REDCap Support at redcap@rt.cri.uchicago.edu to set up a working session with the CRI’s REDCap Administrator. |
You can then log in to REDCap with either your BSDAD or UCHAD account and explore the Help&FAQ page for additional help within the application itself. |
