· Workday is the University’s unified Human Resources and employee data system. It is used for recruiting and hiring staff, as well as accessing, managing, and reporting employment, payroll, and benefit data. Faculty, academic appointees, staff, and students with campus jobs use Workday to view and manage contact information, tax and payroll, and benefit elections.
· A Library of Workday Knowledge Base Articles is available and includes numerous articles pertaining to HR and Payroll topics as they relate to Workday. These articles provide step-by-step instructions on how to complete an action in Workday and include reminders and important callouts for the action at-hand. For easy navigation, the Library has been sorted in two convenient ways: either browse by Category or by Target Audience.
1. When will I receive my medical tax document, 1095-C?
a. The 1095-C form will be available for the prior tax year in mid to late February each year. To access this form, log into Workday and go to the Benefits and Pay. Then select Benefits from the left-side navigation pane and choose ACA Forms to view and/or print the document. Employers must mail out 1095-C forms no later than 3/1 each year.
2. What is the status of my lab school tuition remission application?
a. To view the status of your lab school tuition remission application please access Workday and select the Lab Tuition Remission application. From there, under Reporting select either report to view your application.
3. Where can I find my onboarding tasks and how do I complete them?
a. Onboarding tasks route to your Workday My Tasks section, represented by a tray icon in the top-right corner of the Workday homepage. There are 12 onboarding tasks total and all of them must be completed for the hire (or promotion, demotion, lateral move) process to move forward. Onboarding tasks should be completed in a timely manner, ideally as soon as they arrive in the employee's Workday My Tasks. 4. I need to refresh my job requisition post; how do I do this?
a. Job postings are refreshed by Recruitment and Retention Specialists. Submit an Ask a Human Resources Question request.
5. I need to update the hire date in Workday for my new hire, how can I do this?
a. Hire date updates are completed by Data Management Specialists. Submit an Ask a Human Resources Question request.
6. I check marked that I need an assessment during the creation of my job requisition, but I don't see where to access the assessment. What do I do?
a. While there is an option to checkmark the need for an assessment when creating a job requisition, a Human Resources Partner (HRP) must still then go to ServiceNow and submit a Clerical Testing Request to officially request the assessment. Client Relations Specialists will facilitate the setup of each requested assessment and provide results to the HRP once the assessment is complete.
i. Note: If you’re unable to locate the clerical test request form in ServiceNow, be sure you are logged into ServiceNow as indicated by your initials in a small circle in the top-right corner of the screen.
7. How do I complete monthly time off confirmation?

8. How do I have time entry corrected?
a. As an employee as self, review the Correcting Time as a Timesheet User in Workday Knowledge Base article.
b. As an HRP, review the Viewing and Correcting Time for a Worker in Workday Knowledge Base article.
9. I've been assigned training in Workday, how can I access it?
a. Log into Workday and navigate to the Learning Application. From there, select My Learning to view your required training.
