Access Business Objects When Off Campus

The Business Objects BI Launch Pad is accessible when off campus only while logged in to the University's virtual private network (cVPN). The cVPN allows you to work as if you are logged onto the campus network. 

You can download the cVPN app named AnyConnect Secure Mobility, by following these steps:

1. In an internet browser, go to cvpn.uchicago.edu, then log into your University account by entering your CNetID and password. Complete two-factor authentication if prompted.
2. Select Continue. This will take you to the AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client download website, which will automatically detect your device's operating system.
3. Select Download for... This will download the appropriate application for your operating system. You can also download the mobility app from these knowledge articles:
   
   • Install Cisco AnyConnect Client on Windows 10 and Connect to cVPN
   • Install Cisco AnyConnect Client on MacOS and Connect to cVPN
   • Install the Cisco AnyConnect Client on iOS and Connect to cVPN
   • Install the Cisco AnyConnect Client on Android and Connect to cVPN
4. Open the AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client app.
5. Enter your CNetID and password. You will be prompted to verify your identity using two-factor authentication (2FA). Upon verifying your identity, you will be able to log in to cVPN.
6. Follow the prompts to install the software.
7. Launch the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client.
8. Enter your CNetID and password. Now, you will be on the campus network and can access your needed web resources.
9. Log in to the BI Launch Pad. Enter your CNetID and password.
