Find and Add a Group to Favorites in Grouper

Grouper is the system used for managing groups of people affiliated with the University. You can use these groups to manage who has access to all sorts of resources such as mailing lists, email, web resources and tools, and shared resources.

This video explains how to add favorites in Grouper. You can easily find your group and add it as a Favorite so that you won't have to search for your group each time you use Grouper. Simply follow the steps below.

  1. Go to grouper.uchicago.edu and log in to the system with your CNetID and password
  2. Type in the name of the group you are looking for in the Search bar in the upper right corner of your screen.
  3. Scroll through the results and find the group that you are looking for. Select the name that will take you directly to the group. Please note that the groups in the screenshot are samples.

If you wish to make it easier for yourself to find that group again in the future, you can add it to your Favorites list. You can do this by following the steps below:

  1. Select the Group actions drop-down. As you can see, one of the options is Add to my favorites.
  2. Now this group will now appear in the My Favorites panel on the homepage. You can always access it from the My Favorites navigation panel on the left side of your screen.
