Keep in Mind

Steps

  1. Log into Workday using your CNetID and password.
  2. To use a search prefix, in the search box at the top of the screen type the prefix followed by the search criteria (e.g., worker: john smith), and then hit Enter.
  3. A list of results associated with the search criteria will populate. Select the desired result.
    1. When using a search prefix, the Enter key must be pressed to run the complete search. Prefixes display a preview of the search results below the search bar, but this preview may not show all results.
    2. Workday search includes all results containing the entered letters in the sequence they are typed. For example, typing in worker: dave will yield results such as Dave Matthews, Daveed Diggs, and Marcus Davenport, but it would not include David Bowie.
    3. Remember that searches can only include items accessible to the user. If the security access does not allow viewing a specific item, it will not come up in a search.
