Purpose

This document provides directions on how to drop a course or a program in the Workday Learning Application. Dropping a course or a program removes the learner’s enrollment from the course.

Accessing the Learning Application

  1. Log into Workday using your CNetID and password.
  2. From the Home page, select Menu in the top-left corner and choose the Learning App located under the Personal category.
  3. On the left-hand side of the screen is a navigation pane that includes the tabs: Learning Home, My Learning, Discover, and Links.

Dropping a Course or Program

  1. Select My Learning to view self-enrolled learning content and content enrolled on behalf of an administrator.
  2. Under the Continue Learning section, locate and select the course or program that needs to be dropped. 
    1. REMINDER: Learning content assigned as required cannot be dropped by the learner and must be dropped by their manager or learning partner.
    2. Another way to view and drop learning content is to select View Learning Transcript near the bottom of the My Learning page and then select the title of the course or program from there.
  3. Within the main course or program page, on the right-side near the bottom of the screen, select the link labeled Drop Program/Course.
    1. This option is located under the Start or Resume Course/Program button, immediately under the “No longer want to take this course/program?” question.
  4. Within the Drop Learning Enrollment window, select the appropriate Drop Reason from the drop-down menu using the Hamburger Menu (represented by three dots and three dashes).  Select OK.
  5. A window will appear confirming the need to drop the learning enrollment.  Select Submit to finalize dropping the enrollment and to be returned to the course/program main page.
    1. An optional comment box is available to provide more information, if needed.
