This coding scheme denotes quarters in AIS:

• 2 — winter
• 4 — spring
• 6 — summer
• 8 — autumn

To get the complete code for the term, start with the year, then remove the second digit from the year, then append the quarter digit.

For example, Autumn 2024 is 2248.
