Terminology

• Accounting Period Name: The timeframe in which a transaction occurs or during which financial information is presented in a report.

Business Questions

• What was the beginning balance for the accounting period?
  • Utilize the Accounting Period Start Date and Accounting Period End date filters to narrow the table to a specified accounting period
  • View the Beginning Balance column in the table
• What was the ending balance for the accounting period?
  • Utilize the Accounting Period Start Date and Accounting Period End date filters to narrow the table to a specified accounting period
  • View the Ending Balance column in the table
• Which accounting period had the lowest ending balance?
  • Navigate to the Ending Balance column in the table and click the upward facing arrow
    • Confirm the arrow is blue
  • View the first row in the table as it will be the accounting period with the lowest ending balance
    • The table is sorted ascending
• What information do I have per fund?
  • Utilize the Fund filter to narrow the filter to a specified fund
  • View the table
• What is the comparison between the period net activity credits and debits?
  • Utilize the filters to narrow the search to a specified accounting period
  • View the Period Net activity Credit and the Period Net Activity Debit columns in the table
