The University provides both wired and wireless network access to eligible users. When you connect a computer or mobile device to these networks, a permanent (static) IP or Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) internet protocol (IP) address is required. 

Permanent IPs are used only on the wired network. You can request a permanent IP for your computer or mobile device by submitting a Computer Network Request or contact IT Services for assistance.
