UChicago instructors and staff can communicate with Argonne National Laboratory and Fermilab staff through Microsoft Teams chat.

Teams Chat with Argonne National Laboratory

To communicate with individuals from Argonne National Laboratory using Teams, follow these steps:

1. Select the new chat icon in Microsoft Teams.
2. In the To field, type in the complete email address of the person you would like to start a chat with to insure you use the correct @anl.gov domain.
3. The person's name will appear followed by the word "External." Select the person's name to start a chat.

Teams Chat with Fermilab

To communicate with individuals from Fermilab using Teams, follow these steps:

1. Select the new chat icon in Microsoft Teams.
2. In the To field, type in the complete email address of the person you would like to start a chat using this format: "name@services.fnal.gov."
   Note: You must include the word "services" in the domain; otherwise, you will not be able to find the person's name.
3. The person's name will appear followed by the word "External." Select the person's name to start a chat.
